MOVEMENT:INTROSPECTION The juxtaposition of the words movement and introspection within this work creates a sense of stopping and going simultaneously. It’s where mood and physical act meet on the same axis. Where lights dance at first glance, yet are frozen at their heightened peaks of time and space. It’s about a moment present, easily referenced with momentary reflection. These photographs of people, buildings, statues, trees, roads, trains and planes offer passage into this photographer’s mind’s-eye. They challenge us to always look closer. Christopher Gwyn’s photography is a result of his life’s
experiences trancended firsthand onto film. His work is a natural byproduct
of his philosophy of life on the road. From his home in Brooklyn, he travels
extensively to see new places with his camera seeking the messages of
other people’s stories and his own transforming them into visual
anecdotes.
