If your seeing this for the first time, let me apologize for such an impersonal way to learn of Lincoln's passing. When it comes down to it, he had a short but rather productive life as an artist, who lived on his own terms and he embraced that sentiment to the very end.

I am writing to inform you, with deepest regrets, that early Tuesday morning, April 18th, 2006 Lincoln Christopher Caplan, Artist, friend and co-founder of the gallery passed away. He died from cancer, that originated in his lungs and then spread to his lymph nodes, liver, kidneys and brain. For those of you who know him, I am sure he will be remembered for his strength, and determination. Lincoln regularly went out of his way to help those in need and to encourage his friends to reach for and achieve greater heights. The world is with out a doubt a dimmer place with out him.
