Lincoln Capla & David Kesting Picket the Whitney

Capla Kesting Fine Art presents: The Salon des Refuses, a collection of refused work from the Whitney Biennial.


After having their work rejected by the Whitney, Artists Lincoln C.Capla, David Kesting and Antony Zito have put together their proposed works for display at the Capla Kesting Fine Art Gallery. The collection will display a series of paintings, sculpture and large format illustrations that were rejected without explanation by the Whitney Museum of American Art for consideration of the upcoming Whitney Biennial.

 

The exhibition will open Friday, March 19th 2004 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm during a cocktail reception. The artists will be present to discuss their work. The show will run until April 11th and will be available for viewing during regular gallery hours.
