Jeffrey Sheehan was born and raised in New York City. He bought his first 35mm camera in 1982 at 12 years old and had his first solo exhibit eight years later. He lives uptown with his wife Meredith and daughter Ruby.

For 10 years, I have tended bar at the Corner Bistro, an old West Village saloon, once a neighborhood joint, now a New York institution. Four generations of men in my family have been associated with one side of the bar or the other. Using a converted Polaroid 110B Land Camera, I have sought to timelessly gather remnants of this experience and to find my place within it. These images are part of an ongoing series.
