Laura Dyer is a self-taught artist who began painting in 1995. She opened her studio in 1999 in Brooklyn, New York. Her former works explored the qualitative nature of numbers in form and symbollic aspects of processual time in abstract feilds. Her current work explores concepts of quantum physics in an abstract visual context, concepts of time and space, and relational aspects of line and interactive form. This exhibition is a preview of this new series. The series grew out of experimentation with constructions from sacred geometry, circular grids, and out of applying quantum dynamics to the classical platonic constructions of the sphere in visual diagram. It explores the human tendency to seek form from chaos, and the tendency to see one thing in a sea of possibility.
